This poster commemorates the NASA space shuttle program, designated as the Space Transportation System (STS). From the first flight in April of 1981, to the final journey in July of 2011, the shuttle fleet flew a total of 135 missions, each providing the foundations of research and improvements in technology for the future of space flight.
