Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how The Slade Archive ("we," "us") handles information collected through thesladearchive.com. The Archive is an online store. We collect what we need to sell you products, fulfill and support your orders, respond to your messages, and keep the store running.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Information We Collect
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit through our contact form.
When you place an order, you provide the information needed to complete a purchase, including your name, shipping and billing address, email address, and payment details. Checkout is handled by Shopify, our e-commerce platform. We receive your order and the details needed to fulfill and support it.
When you browse the store, limited technical data is collected automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and the pages and products you view. This comes through our hosting and analytics providers and through the cookies described below.
Payments
We never see or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed directly through Shopify's secure, PCI-compliant checkout and its payment processors. Your card details go to them, not to us. We receive only confirmation of the transaction and the order information required to ship and support your purchase.
Cookies & Analytics
Our store uses cookies that are necessary to keep your shopping cart and checkout working, most of which are set by Shopify. We also use privacy-preserving analytics that report aggregate usage rather than tracking you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are required for checkout to function.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process and fulfill your orders; to handle shipping, returns, refunds, and exchanges; to respond to your questions; to send order-related messages such as confirmations and shipping updates; to operate, secure, and improve the store; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising or to build advertising profiles.
How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with the providers who help us run the store and complete your orders: Shopify (storefront, checkout, and payment processing), the shipping carriers that deliver your order, Resend (which delivers our email), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each uses your information only to perform its service for us.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others, and your information may transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to support your purchase and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your inquiry. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.
Security
The store is served over encrypted connections, and checkout and payments run through Shopify's PCI-compliant systems. We limit access to the order information we receive. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask us to stop contacting you. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know, delete, and correct their personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of the EEA or UK (under the GDPR) have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and may complain to their local supervisory authority.
Children & Changes
This store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. The Slade Archive is based in the United States, and your information is processed here.
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the date below and post the updated version on this page.
